Im going to get back to the topic. The plane choice in order is the

F16- great multirole fighter if not the greatest

F14- yet another great airsupriororty(sorry for the spelling) fighter its like the F15 eagle except in the NAVY

F18- Its not feared unless you fly the MIG29!

hornet focuses on high alpha performance while the falcon focuses on sustained turn rate.

thats a classical air-force vs navy ideology..one focuses on energy fighters while the other on turn fighters..the f-14 is usually refered to as an interceptor as it might not be best suited for all types of air-superiority missions
We have the enemy surrounded. We are dug in and have overwhelming numbers. But enemy airpower is mauling us badly. We will have to withdraw.

yeah the F-14 is reffered to as an interceptor.Too bad it will be soon kicked out of the navy.It was good but costly and needed a lot of maintenance. That's why it is being replaced by the hornet.

There will be no other plane that will be feared like the F14 was by many who had to face it.

F/A-22 is more maneuverable than the F-16.
